We are currently 5 days out from leaving on the mission trip. As we met on Monday to have devotions together, you could almost feel the excitement and anticipation growing. Many shared that they are desiring a deeper connection with Jesus during this week. And that prayer is often answered for those that desire it.
The theme of "Repair: Be a Life of Transformation" has been selected for this years trip. We'll be focusing each day on a different life that Jesus repaired and transformed.
We have received a tentative list of various projects that we'll be working on. The lists includes some food pantries, day camps, garden projects, shelters, rehab centers, women's center, Bible studies and much more. It will be interesting to see what we get partnered up with. We are all encouraged to go into the week with our hands open to whatever God has planned for us.
From today until Sunday we'll be packing, getting ready and waiting for what God is going to do in us and through us this week.
Remaining Schedule this week:
Friday - mission trip devotions and meeting - noon - youth room
Sunday - 8am worship and commissioning; 9am begin packing; 10am depart for Kenosha!
Next Friday - arrive back in Archbold around 2:30pm
