Every single person has a different story and are all at a different place with God even if they used the same exact word for their transformation. It's super intriguing to think about what is going to happen in everyone's lives as we serve others together, learning about one another, and truly connecting with our church family.
A really big encouragement this week are the Care Cards. CarE CArds (haha!) are short notes that we write to one another about how they see God working in them or various other positive messages. They're all kept in envelopes and then we read them on the way back home. I love it already!
Evening service was pretty awesome! The worship went well, and it was absolutely amazing to be on stage and being able to hear everyone's voices join together to worship God. Like, seriously. It made me immensely happy. I don't even know how to explain it!
During the service we received our Crew assignments and destinations, including choosing the tasks everyone will be assigned to. In my group I'm assigned to being the devotion leader which I'm both excited and nervous for. (like pretty much everything else) The other roles are Break Maker, Organizer, Progress Reporter, Quartermaster, and Work Director.
But, yeah! This week has a lot in store after our first lights out happening in approximately 9 minutes.
Tomorrow we will wake up at 6:45 and I'll keep you posted on what happening later on (whenever I have time).
Goodnight!

Daisy (Darby),
ReplyDeleteLet Adam know I received his text with a picture of the lunch group today - appears to be on a beach with water in the background - nice setting. It is really hot and humid here in A-town, so Pastor Erich and I are praying it is NOT as hot and humid for you today, especially those who may be working outside :)
Thanks for posting and keeping us informed on how things are going and for serving in the name of Jesus. We will continue to lift each one of you up in our daily prayers.
Holding down the fort at SJCC,
Sue (& Pastor Erich)
Matt 20:26-28
"Whoever wants to be great must become a servant. Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave. That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not be served—and then to give away his life in exchange for the many who are held hostage."
